Coach Devon

Devon Bernhagen, M.A.

All Grade Levels Coach

Devon holds a dual Master’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in Special Education & Education Equity and Cultural Diversity. She became licensed to teach Special Education after completing her Bachelor’s degree from Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI.

She mentored first-year education master’s degree students who were new to the campus with a mentorship program at CU Boulder. In addition, she was an Education Mentor for GlobalMindEd and was assigned first-generation college students attending HBCU’s.

During her 5 years and counting of teaching experience and mentoring at-risk youth, she has developed a passion for helping students fine-tune their self-awareness skills to aid them in their learning. Devon has worked as a Special Education Teacher in public brick-and-mortar and online schools across all age groups. In addition to academic coaching, she also works as a Special Education advocate.

She uses her ability to connect with others to foster a trusting relationship with each student in order to find the root cause of the issue(s) a student may be having in school. Devon strives to help every student feel successful and find strategies that work for each individual.

Devon currently lives in Colorado and has traveled all around the US with her husband and their two dogs. She enjoys playing competitive sports and even played D3 basketball throughout college. Devon’s happy places are on top of a mountain, wearing a pair of skis in the winter or a heavy backpack in the summer.
