Dr. Celia R. Lofink
Academic Coach
Celia received her undergraduate dual degree in Education and Special Education from the University of Hartford. She holds a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.)from Boston College and completed her PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of CT. Celia is on faculty at the University of Hartford Barney School of Business. In her role she has been teaching and advising students for over 8 years. For the past 5 years, Celia has also been the Undergraduate Director for the Barney School where she has developed both academic and career ready programs for the business students.
Celia is an Academic Coach and a Launch Career Coach with ACA, She uses her teaching and advising experience to help college students experience success in their academics and “launch” out of college to amazing careers. Celia also volunteers on weekends working with students who have learning challenges and spectrum disorders. She fully understands the challenges of learning for many students when it just doesn’t come easy for them! Celia brings a sensitivity, understanding and proven techniques to each coaching session that will turn student challenges around to academic success.
Celia lives in Granby, CT with her husband Jim. She has twin sons, Harrison and Jameson. Both boys home-base in Colorado. Jameson works for Dopplemayr building ropeways, cable cars and ski lifts. Harrison works for the city of Aspen, Colorado. It makes for a great destination for holidays and vacations for Mom and Pop!
