Amira

Amira Aly, M.Ed.

College Academic Coach

Amira holds a BA in Psychology and is pursuing a Master of Education in Higher education and student development with a concentration in professional coaching. She is a certified student coach and has over 13 years of experience in college academic advising and coaching. Previously, Amira worked as an Academic coach at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College.  She has extensive knowledge in working with students with executive function issues. 

Over the years, Amira helped her students set college and career goals, learn how to better manage their time, advocate for themselves, utilize campus resources, and learn new study techniques that work for them as individuals. 

Amira lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and twin high schoolers. In her free time, Amira loves listening to true crime podcasts, watching Netflix shows, and playing competitive card and board games with her family. Amira has also traveled and lived in many places, including Egypt, England, France, and Dubai. 

Amira is a strong student advocate, she believes that given the right support, all students can excel and achieve their academic goals. She is a believer in removing systematic barriers that students face to promote student success.
