Elgin Fitzgerald

Elgin Fitzgerald, M.A.

Middle and High School Academic Coach

Elgin has been in the field of education for his entire career, which has totaled more than 15 years.  He has had the opportunity to wear a number of hats throughout his time to include being a teacher, coach, mentor, tutor, and administrator. Elgin earned his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and completed a Master’s Degree in special education and a special education director certification program.  His career has been dedicated to supporting a diverse range of student needs.

His passion for working with special populations has allowed him to impact a large number of students over the years.  Elgin has always enjoyed being able to connect with students with executive functioning skill deficits and work collaboratively to see that progress.  His work with students over his career includes organization, time management, study habits, test-taking strategies, and college and career planning.  Elgin has learned that all students have the ability to learn and succeed with the right coaching, support, and guidance.

Outside of his profession, Elgin enjoys his time with his wife and young daughter.  They live in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he was also born and raised.  Elgin is an avid sports fan and had the opportunity to play basketball in college.  He also enjoys outdoor activities, going to the movies, and comedy shows.  He is looking forward to working with you!
