Tom Szendrey, M.S.
All Grade Levels Academic Coach
Tom has been an educator for almost 30 years both as a high school teacher, administrator, and college professor. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Dayton and a law degree from Cleveland State University. Tom started his career as a high school teacher before becoming an administrator.
His administrative roles include serving as a special education supervisor and assistant principal. He also taught college courses to aspiring school administrators as an adjunct instructor. As a college instructor Toms’ priority was teaching students strategies to improve their academic skills such as decision making, managing their time, using school resources, and self-advocacy.
Tom lives in Cincinnati and has two children. Andrew graduated from Northeastern University and lives in Boston, and Abbie is a senior at Saint Louis University. In his spare time, Tom enjoys being outdoors, reading nonfiction, and following professional and college sports teams.
