Heather Calabro
Middle and High School Academic Coach
Heather attended the University of Connecticut where she majored in Communication and minored in Psychology. She then attended Chaminade University in Honolulu and earned a master’s degree in Secondary Education with a certification in Social Studies. Heather was a founding member of a project-based learning program for high school students as well as a provider of professional development for educators. Currently, she works as a middle school Geography teacher and Team Leader.
Heather has over 15 years of experience teaching students with learning differences, in both private school and public school settings. She believes that it is important for students to first recognize their unique energies and tendencies, harness them, and then use them to their advantage.
Heather lives in Simsbury, Connecticut. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two children, playing ice hockey (Go Mother Ducks!), hiking, and golfing.
