Katie McMullan, M.Ed.

Katie received her Masters and Education Specialist degrees from Temple University in Philadelphia, and completed her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware where she studied Psychology and Animal Science. She is currently a Nationally Certified School Psychologist assisting in identifying learning, social, emotional, behavioral, and attentional difficulties in students. She acts as a means of support for these students by providing counseling as well assisting with best practices in learning and assessment.

Katie has a wealth of experience as a private tutor for students with unique learning styles, including those with a range of learning difficulties such as ADHD, Autism, and specific learning disabilities. Her philosophy is that all students can learn and succeed with the right perspective, opportunities, and support.

Katie’s patience, empathy, and flexible thinking have allowed her to help students find success in their academic and organizational goals. By helping these students develop self-confidence, they become more independent learners. She believes in holding students accountable and encouraging positivity within them.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys going to the beach, hiking, swimming, spending time with her dogs, and watching movies. Throughout her high school and college years, Katie was a member of the marching band, where she played the cymbals. She now works part-time as a cymbal line instructor for multiple high schools and the Rutgers University marching band. She has also performed at many professional sporting events.
