High School Academic Coach
Ellen attended Indiana University where she majored in secondary education with a focus on science and mathematics. After a career in technology, she attended Cleveland State University and earned an intervention specialist license and then a transition to work endorsement. She currently works as a high school intervention specialist and transition coordinator, where she runs an in-school job training program and supports students in the areas of academics, organization, time management, and study skills.
Ellen has over 10 years of experience teaching students with learning differences, most of whom struggle with executive functioning, as well as leading a social skills class for students with autism spectrum disorders. Ellen strongly believes that it is important for students to develop the ability to advocate for themselves and to find strategies that work for them in order to be successful in high school and beyond.
Ellen lives in Cleveland, Ohio. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters, and her dogs. She loves riding her Peloton, listening to podcasts, and reading.
