Dominique White, B.A., M.A.
College Academic Coach
Dominique is a licensed mental health counselor as well as a certified rehabilitation counselor. Dominique earned a Bachelors and Masters in Sociology from Arkansas State, a Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Arkansas State, and a second Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Dominique currently services as the Senior Associate Director of Access and Accommodation Services at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. She has worked with the University for almost 7 years. The population she serves includes college students with psychiatric disabilities, learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, and Autism. Dominique White also serves as one of the ADA Coordinators for the A-State campus.
Before serving in her current role at the University, Dominique White served as an Academic Coach for the university’s tutoring center. She has also tutored in various roles outside of the university setting. Skills that Dominique typically focuses on when working with students include but are not limited to: time management, study skills, note-taking skills, organization, prioritization, and more. Skills developed and focused on are dependent upon the needs of each student.
She enjoys working with students and helping them to achieve their highest potential.
